Apex Legends is probably the fastest growing video game title on PC, PS4, and Xbox One and we know that this amazing game will eventually come to mobile devices. During EA’s quarterly earnings call, the company mentioned that they are currently working on bringing Apex Legends to the Chinese market as well as to the mobile platforms. Also in the earnings call the company has stated that Apex Legends was their fastest growing title and hoping to build a live service that entertains players for years. While Respawn Entertainment, the developer company behind the title has been quite over the updates that players are dying for at the moment, EA also has announced that players can expect from Apex Legends Season 2 is going to be focused on the EA Play which will be held on June.
Although this is the first time EA talked about a potential release to the mobile platforms, the idea isn’t something new. Both PUBG and Fortnite which are two of the most popular and widely known battle royale games have been out on mobile devices and caught the success. Especially PUBG as the game has reached more than 200 million downloads on both Android and iOS. It’s no doubt that Apex Legends Mobile can be a great hit but since PUBG doesn’t feature any abilities or complex building mechanisms, therefore making the gameplay easier.
However, each Apex Legends characters have two different unique abilities that will require two separate buttons. Since playing a fast-paced battle royale is hard enough to control on tiny screens, with the addition of those two buttons laying out on the screen can result in a harder control. It seems like EA will eventually make a playable version of Apex Legends for mobile devices but the date of it and the way of it is currently unknown.
